You may have seen Urban Tilth’s free farm stands, or you may be part of its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program that feeds 500 families weekly, or maybe you had one of its free farm stands at your events as part of its Food is Medicine program.
Well, the latest is that they’re embarking on a construction project that will add a cafe, a commercial kitchen, a community room, and a store with fruits, veggies, herbs, and jams.
The farm will have all these added features due to community input. You can now apply to be on Urban Tilth’s Community Advisory Committee to assist with various farm-related decisions! North Richmond residents will be compensated.
Urban Tilth is asking for a two-year commitment. In Year 2, two residents will have the opportunity to serve on its nonprofit board.
