The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors continually allows the raping of land and air in North Richmond. It allows extractive development to interrupt the quality of life in North Richmond. The CenterPoint Properties project at 506 Brookside is no exception.
The project is a warehouse. Yep . . . another one.
This huge warehouse would bring major traffic and more pollution to the neighborhood. It would stretch from the farm to Verde. Can you imagine 400+ parking spaces, 200+ trailer parking spaces in our small community?
In addition to bringing traffic and pollution, the tenant is unknown.
The residents have expressed what they desire to see in the neighborhood, e.g., infrastructure, housing, a grocery store, streetlights, green space, youth center, etc. However, none of these items are in the County’s Area of Benefit document.
At any rate, another warehouse is on the Planning Commission Agenda on May 25 at 6:30pm. You can join via Zoom to voice your opinion.
